Between the end of February and the beginning of March, there is a wonderful opportunity to admire the first signs of spring on a leisurely hike between Montiggl and Caldaro.

Starting from the spacious parking area at the Montiggl Lakes, follow trail no. 20 leading to the Spring Valley, which can be reached in about half an hour. There, you enter an enchanting landscape covered by a sea of white spring snowflakes and blue liverworts. It is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of spring to the fullest. At the end of the forest path, a breathtaking view opens up over the stunning Lake Caldaro. From here, the route continues back through the Fuschgalai Valley along trail no. 19, where primroses are especially abundant. At the end of trail no. 19, you return once more to the Spring Valley, where the floral splendor can be admired again before heading back to the starting point.
